About the Medications Management Pack
The Medications Management Pack has been created to offer support to organisations who are seeking to manage their medication administration effectively, in-line with registration requirements and good practice.
The pack consists of a subāset of documents from the full QCS Care Quality Management System. Exactly the same high quality of content and customisation which distinguishes the full QCS CMS from other systems is included, except that the range of content is focussed only medication administration and management processes.
The Venalink version of the Policy contains the Venalink User Manual in addition to the QCS Medications Policy and Procedure. Venalink provide monitored dosage (blister) packs to most of the independent sector pharmacies in the UK, and also under contract to some of the pharmacy chains, including Alliance/Boots.
The Medications Management Pack service contains a link through to the Useful Documents library of the QCS web site, in which a Microsoft Word version of a Medications Administration Record (MAR) sheet is located, for use where the MAR sheet is not provided by the pharmacy.
Managing and Administering Medication Made Simple
The Medications Management Pack can be upgraded to the full CMS at any time in the first four months of the annual subscription period by paying the difference in price. The full CMS system provides documentation to keep your service compliant with all relevant legislation, not just the legislation required for medications. This includes care planning, employment law, service user safety and abuse avoidance, health and safety regulations, food hygiene regulations, maintenance and all other legislation which impinges on a care business.
