New Care Regulator for Scotland
As of the 1st April 2011, a new care regulator takes over in Scotland, replacing the role of the Care Commission and the Social Work Inspection Agency.
As of the 1st April 2011, a new care regulator takes over in Scotland, replacing the role of the Care Commission and the Social Work Inspection Agency. It is called the Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (SCSWIS). Amongst their duties will be the scrutiny and inspection of care services in Scotland. The former bodies have been abolished with immediate effect.
